It's rainy up here in New England. Enjoy some soul music that is helping me through the day. And some good relevant pictures to keep Oppo car... [Repost because still raining and still good]
Above: Marvin Gaye and a Rolls
Wilson Pickett - I'm in Love
Percy Sledge - Whiter Shade of Pale
the Jackson 5 Caddy wagon
J5 - I want you back (so obviously lip synced)
Issac Hayes with a Stutz
Marvin Gaye - Lets Get it On (Live from Soul Train, skip to 4:30 for the music)
Poor old Sly Stone in front of his Studebaker
Barry White - Can't Get Enough of Your Love Babe
James Brown being the baller he was
James Brown - Sex Machine
Staple Singers - The Weight
And some dirty car art to round it all out

I'm a sucker for anything with electric organ in it. This whole post is great.

I was watching a series about sludge metal from New Orleans these days and they mentioned The Meters. I didn't know them, but since then I've listened to pretty much everything on Spotify. Pretty awesome:

It was a Neville Brothers project, so I am surprised they didn't blow up. I have heard some stuff and it is really good old funk for sure

Yeah, I read about them. They were pretty influential, but never big.
I'm a newbie into Soul/Funk. I can't really cross a line on what's Funk and what's Soul. Some songs you posted are pretty funky to me, for example.

I can't find pictures online but Sam Cooke drove an E-Type and a Ferrari Lusso, and Aretha Franklin owned a Zimmer Golden Spirit!
